Thermally Modified Timber is achieved by using high temperatures in excess of 200 - 220°C (392 - 425°F). TMT have a distinctive chocolate brown color all the way to the core due to the caramelization of sugars in the wood during the process. This results in products that are extremely durable no matter the environment in which they are used.
At IKN, we have produced Thermally Modified Timber (TMT) for several years now. So we dare to say "We know what we are doing."
